cold and distant
I've been clicking on and off, going to school for massage therapy and working two jobs. How the heck is the rest of the world?

Going to start doing the click-a-day thing again, only I'm probably only going to update once a week, not that anyone watches this thing. Maybe I'll try and recruit a few people to join.

Also hoping to do one weekly project. Nothing huge but more than a click.
27th-May-2009 01:20 am - Stonewall Marriage March.
out and proud
What: Stonewall Street Festival Evening Parade.
Where: the Island City's Wilton Drive.
When: Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 7:00pm.

Details:

I'm trying to put together a large group of people, dressed in their best wedding attire, to march in the Stonewall parade. We will have a "Just Married" car and lots of fun!

After the parade I will be officiating spiritual marriage ceremonies as an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church. I will also possibly be present Sunday during the day if time permits. Everyone is encouraged to come to the Sunday Street Festival dressed in their wedding attire as well.

I will personally be encouraging people to go fill out marriage license applications. Even if the State refuses to recognize same-sex marriage they have to review each and every application that comes their way. Perhaps at some point they'll get the message.

Things to Bring:
* Yourself and a Spouse-to-be.
* Rings (cheap ones can be bought at Wal-Mart or any craft store in the Wedding Aisle) - if
you would like to donate extra rings I can use them to perform marriage ceremonies for
others who may not be as prepared. ^_^
* Bubbles and/or lights. Bubbles are always fun and it is a night parade, so lights or
anything that makes you a little brighter is encouraged (glow in the dark paint, anyone?).
* Signs, picket or otherwise. If you feel the need to say something about your support for
marriage equality a sign is the way to go.

Things Not to Bring:
* Rice, confetti or Bird Seed. It seems awesome and fun at the time but somebody has to
clean that up later.

You do not need to be gay or part of a couple to support marriage equality. Just bring your fine self and wear something appropriately pimpin'. Straight couples are also welcome.

There's no clearly defined limit to the number of people allowed to walk with a group, so I say the more the merrier!

There is a fee to participate in the parade. It's $50. I'm paying for this out of my own pocket and my own pocket is not particularly over-flowing with cash right now. If anyone wants to chip in a few bucks it's appreciated but not necessary or required. As long as you show up to march I'll be thrilled.

More news will be posted here, stay tuned!

Does anybody know how to do the Electric Slide? Because I think we should totally do the Electric Slide.

I haven't posted in a while but I've been clicking everyday and donating to the Feed America program as well as doing my...I guess it's called civic duty? I volunteered to be a pollworker on election day and am continuing down that super fun path (holy crap a lot of people voted! So exciting!). More to come!

I haven't been around much, have I?

But I have been busy!

I've been doing my daily clicks, the Ecology Fund and the Greater Good Network, but mostly I've been making some items for auction to raise money for...The Inanna Library of Pagan Religions!

I've been working on it for quite a while now and I'm putting together the book database and as soon as I finish with that and post it on-line people will be able to check out books! :D I'm a little behind on the database but it's looking good. After all of that's done I'm going to finish the paperwork for the non-profit status.

I'm also going to be going back to school to get my Masters in Library Science. I've kind of always wanted to be a librarian, so all of this ties together really well. ::joy!::

The 10th, 11th and 12th I gave money to a bunch of different homeless people around Philly. I also used this one start up cab service more than I should have but the guy was nice and I sympathize with my fellow small business owners.

Holy crap there are a lot of homeless people in Philly!

FaerieCon was amazing.
